Tierra Sanders, PA-C
Tierra Sanders, PA-C, is a physician assistant at AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Centers.
Tierra Sanders was born in Chicago, IL, and raised in a tiny town called Holland in MI, which was named after and resembles Holland in the Netherlands. After her time in Holland, she joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, where she had the opportunity to travel throughout Asia. After her service in the Navy, she moved to Jacksonville, FL, where she attended Florida State University and obtained a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Seeking to advance her medical career, she was accepted into the Andrew Taylor Still University School of Health Sciences Physician Assistant program in Mesa, AZ, and graduated in 2021 with a master's degree. Her professional journey started at the Mayo Clinic, where she worked as a patient care technician in the BMT/HEME/ONC department. This experience, along with her personal interactions with her grandmother, whom she affectionately called Papoose, served as a foundation for her future career as a Physician Assistant. She gained experience in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. She continues to stay motivated professionally by her patients. |
Her biggest inspiration is her two-year-old daughter, Olivia. She feels that being a mother and a PA has brought immense fulfillment and accomplishment to her life. Apart from her professional and personal responsibilities, she enjoys traveling the world, practicing yoga, running, and hiking.
It is evident that Tierra Sanders is a dedicated and compassionate individual, driven by a desire to help others and positively impact their lives through her work as a Physician Assistant.
