A fitness coach discusses how chiropractic adjustments solved the mobility issues in her back and shoulders, improving her quality of life.
My name is Angel and I work at Fit Body Boot Camp, and I learned of AFC through that when I came in last year because of my shoulder, neck, and lower back. My shoulder started hurting over a year ago, and my neck and back have been hurting for, probably, the last five to 10 years. My neck, I knew there was an issue about five years ago with my C5 and C6 fusing together. I finally went into AFC and got it checked. There was actually a bone spur now added to the mix, so it was becoming really painful and my mobility was lessened.
I was really having a lot of pain in my shoulder. It became so bad that I could not sleep on my right side, couldn't pick up kids. That was a part of my job was taking care of kids, being able to pick them up, and that was becoming a struggle. I had tried icing my shoulder, icing my neck, using heat and cold together. It helped temporarily, but definitely was not a cure.
I do work at a gym and AFC had come in and done a workshop. That's how I heard about them. So I came in to get checked out. They were very thorough, asked a lot of questions, did x-rays, pinpointed the problems. The staff there is very helpful, they answered all my questions, and every time I go in for treatment, everybody's just very helpful.
I didn't think there was hope when I first came in, just because I've been in so much pain for so long, so like, why not? What have I got to lose? So went in, did my treatment and just was so much better. I'm hopeful for my future. Especially at my age, I didn't want to not be able to exercise and continue with that, because I do want to live a longer, healthier life as much as I can and exercise is a big part of that.
I'm so thankful that I found AFC and I highly recommend that anybody who's having any type of issue that's restricting their mobility, you want to do workouts, or not, if you are having pains, go get it checked out. I honestly thought that this was just what I had to live with, and I'm so glad that I had an open mind, and went and got checked by the doctors there and went through the treatment plan so that I can live a better life, and that's what it's all about.
