Teresa Slager, PA-C

Teresa Slager, PA-C, is a physician assistant at AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Centers.

​Meet Teresa! Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, IL, she brings a diverse background and extensive experience to her practice.

After completing her undergraduate studies in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Drake University, she pursued her graduate education at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ, where she earned a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

With nearly 15 years of practice under her belt, she has honed her skills and expertise in various areas. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked as a medical assistant, trained as an EMT, and gained valuable experience through volunteering at Mayo Clinic and a physical therapy office.
Teresa's passion for becoming a PA stems from her desire to help patients improve their lives through a more natural and holistic approach to healthcare. She finds great fulfillment in providing personalized care and assisting patients on their journey to optimal health.

When she is not busy in the clinic, she enjoys engaging in a variety of hobbies. She has a deep love for sports, particularly baseball and football. Additionally, she finds solace in outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. She is also a dog lover and takes delight in attending live music events and pursuing her creative side through chalk painting and furniture restoration.
