John Ham, PA-C | AFC Phoenix Clinic
|
John Ham, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Phoenix. Born in the Philippines and raised in Georgia, John brings over 20 years of experience as a Physician Assistant and a lifelong commitment to serving others through healthcare and military service.
John graduated from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, in 2005. Prior to becoming a PA, he worked as an LPN primarily in the ICU setting and also served as an Army Medic for eight years, including deployment during Desert Storm from 1990–1991. His extensive medical background and dedication to patient care laid the foundation for his career as a healthcare provider. Throughout his career, John has gained diverse clinical experience, spending nearly 10 years working in an Emergency Room in Oklahoma before relocating to Arizona. Since moving to the Valley, he has focused on Pain Management, helping patients improve their quality of life through compassionate and personalized care. John chose to become a Physician Assistant because, as a nurse, he frequently found himself wanting to do more for his patients. Becoming a PA was a natural progression in his lifelong mission to help others with their health needs. What he loves most about being a PA is the opportunity to directly impact patients’ lives and provide meaningful support through their healthcare journeys. His greatest professional satisfaction comes from helping others feel better and regain function in their daily lives. Outside of work, John enjoys hiking, bicycling, reading, and spending time with his dogs. He is married and a proud father and grandfather. While much of his family lives out of state, he remains deeply connected to them and values every opportunity to spend time together. |
