After completing one year in the Engineering program, he was inspired to change direction and follow his passion for Alternative Healthcare. He enrolled in Pre-Med and set his career sights on graduating as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
The opportunity for patients to heal in a more natural and effective way lit a fire from embers that had been heating since reading the book "Back to Eden" as a young adult.
With strong conviction and determination, he attended Western States Chiropractic in Portland, Oregon finishing with a Doctoral degree and 3 children. He has completed post-graduation certification in Acupuncture, Sports Medicine, Independent Medical Evaluation and Nutrition.
The pain relief and gratitude of a patient who is feeling better is what motivates him to continue the work of holistic healing.
Dr. Hal has been married to his high school sweetheart for nearly 43 years and has 3 daughters, 2 sons and 10 amazing grandchildren. In his spare time, he loves a day on the lake, boating and water skiing, watching a good movie, or attending a hockey game. He can fix most anything but will avoid electric repairs if possible.
Two fun facts about Dr. Winters, his grandkids will tell you he makes "Glorious Waffles" and his birthday is on Halloween. His mom swears she did not name him Hal because of it but doubts abound.
