Petula Gillingham, D.C., is a chiropractor at AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Centers.
Dr. Gillingham was born in St. John’s Newfoundland, an Eastern providence of Canada. When patients ask her why she moved to Arizona, she typically responds with, “I never wanted to see rain or snow again.” Dr. Gillingham received her bachelor's degree from Branden University in Manitoba, Canada. She also graduated from Life University where she studied diversified, Thompson-drop technique, pro-adjuster, and activator methods in chiropractic medicine.
Dr. Gillingham decided to become a chiropractor after being a chiropractic patient herself. After receiving outstanding care, Dr. Gillingham decided she wanted to help people get out of pain, perform better in sports and other physical activities, and be healthier overall.
What Dr. Gillingham loves most about being a chiropractor is seeing her patients get off medication and become more active. She believes it is so rewarding to teach people how to take responsibility of their health through nutrition, exercising, stretching, and chiropractic care. For Dr. Gillingham, it is her goal to help people in her community get healthy, naturally – without the use of drugs or surgery.
