Katie was born in Northern California but was raised primarily in Phoenix, Arizona. After attending Arcadia High School, she graduated Sum Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University where she studied Biology and Chemistry. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Katie worked as a physical therapy assistant. She obtained her master's in Physician Assistant studies from AT Still University, AZ School of Health Sciences and was awarded the PA student of the year by the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants in 2009. Katie practiced Internal Medicine in Chandler and Gilbert for over 9 years prior to her move to AFC Physical Medicine and Chiropractic in 2019.
Katie has special interests in orthopedics, rheumatology, and preventative health maintenance. She is passionate about integrating traditional allopathic treatments with both naturopathic and functional medicine techniques. She enjoys being a part of a medical team that genuinely cares for their patients and desires to return patients to their most optimal state of health and wellbeing.
Currently, Katie lives in Gilbert with her husband and six children. She loves the outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, and gardening. She is active in her church community and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
