Brittney Gillespie, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Centers.
In 2008, Brittney graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Pre-medicine) and a minor in Chemistry. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was also a member of the Caduceus Allied Health Society and Women’s Basketball Team. Upon graduating, she worked as a research associate for Mesa Biotech in Santa Fe, NM. Although Brittney does love virology and molecular biology, she soon discovered that her true passion is in practicing medicine and serving people. After much prayer and reflection, she went on to pursue a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree at South University in Savannah, GA. Upon graduating in 2013, she served in the National Health Service Corps for 4 years and has been practicing Family Medicine for almost 9 years. Throughout her career, she has witnessed so many patients with chronic conditions fail to improve with the conventional medicine approach, and the pill for every ill notion. The scientist in Brittney is determined to discover the why behind this; consequently, she is pursuing a certification in functional medicine. Brittney is passionate about finding the root cause(s), identifying and removing the obstacles to cure, and giving the body the building blocks it needs for optimal health. She finds joy in building thriving relationships with her patients, empowering them to take personal responsibility for their health, and coaching and encouraging them every step of the way. Compassion and empathy are her strengths.
